We are Tesla-approved installers, so the Powerwall is a system we fit and commission properly rather than source on request. The current model — the Powerwall 3 — is an all-in-one home battery: the solar inverter, the battery and the system controller live in one unit, so on a new install the panels wire straight into it. It stores 13.5 kWh, expands to 54 kWh with Expansion units, and gives seamless backup when the grid goes down.
We will also be straight about where it sits: Powerwall is a home and light-commercial battery — ideal for a house, a farmhouse, an office or a small unit. For a large warehouse or a factory load, we usually scale our Fox ESS or Sigenergy systems further instead, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line your building falls. Most home batteries are two or three boxes on the wall: a separate inverter, the battery, and a control unit to tie them together. The Powerwall 3 collapses that into one wall-mounted unit with the solar inverter built in, so on a new install the panels connect straight into it — fewer boxes, a cleaner job, and fewer places for something to go wrong.

Why we fit it
The Powerwall 3 puts the solar inverter, the battery and the system controller in a single unit. On a new install the panels connect straight into it — fewer boxes on the wall, fewer failure boundaries, and a cleaner job than a separate inverter, battery and gateway.
On a power cut it switches your chosen circuits to battery without the noticeable gap you get from a manual changeover. What stays on depends on how we segregate your essential circuits at design stage — which is electrical contracting, and the part a 30-year electrical firm is good at.
Powerwall is the most recognised home battery on the market, with a large UK installed base and a mature monitoring app. For a lot of homeowners that familiarity — and the confidence that comes with it — is worth as much as the spec sheet.
Start with one Powerwall and add Expansion units later, up to 54 kWh. We size the first install with that growth path in mind, so adding capacity down the line is a tidy addition rather than a rebuild.
Two things we say up front. First, scale: at 13.5 kWh — 54 kWh fully expanded — the Powerwall is a home and light-commercial battery. If your building genuinely needs hundreds of kilowatt-hours, we will not stretch a Powerwall to fit; we will design around Fox ESS or Sigenergy, which scale much further, and show you the working on both. Second, the same rule we apply to every brand here: a battery is a 10-to-12-year component inside a 25-to-30-year solar asset — plan the capital cycle on that basis and it will only ever surprise you pleasantly.
One procedural note worth knowing before you buy: Tesla's full 10-year warranty requires the Powerwall to stay reliably connected to the internet, and the exact warranty terms are issued per region, so we confirm the current UK terms as part of your quote rather than quoting a brochure at you.
